Privacy

Short version: I use your details to ring you back about your job, and that's it. Nothing is sold, shared or added to a mailing list.

Who's responsible

MRM Plumbing & Heating, a sole trader based in Newport. I'm responsible for anything you send through this website. If you want to get in touch about your data, use the form and say so in the message.

What I collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form:

• Your name and phone number
• Your email address, if you give one
• Your town or postcode
• What the job is, how urgent it is, and anything else you tell me

Nothing else. No analytics, no advertising trackers, no cookies set by this site.

Why

To contact you about the job you asked about, to price it, and to keep a record if you go ahead. You asked me to get in touch, so getting in touch is what you'd expect. Where I've done gas work for you, the law also requires me to keep records of it.

How the form works

The form is handled by Web3Forms, which takes what you submit and emails it to me. Their privacy policy covers what they do with it. Once it reaches me, it sits in my email like any other message.

Who else sees it

Nobody, apart from Web3Forms passing the message on and my email provider storing it, and anyone the law requires me to tell (for example, gas installations have to be notified through Gas Safe Register).

How long I keep it

Only as long as I need it. Records of work I've done are kept for as long as tax and gas safety rules require.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, apart from records I'm legally required to keep. If you're not happy with how I've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site doesn't set any, which is why there's no cookie banner.
